Antonia Tristan

Antonia "Toña" Tristán Sánchez falleció en paz el 8 de junio de 2026, a los 87 años. En la primavera de 1967, Toña dejó su hermoso pueblo de Armadillo de los Infante, San Luis Potosí, México, para construir una nueva vida en Chicago junto a su esposo, Gerardo Tristán.

 Madre orgullosa y profundamente dedicada, crió a sus cuatro hijos —María Concepción (Humberto) Pérez, Gerardo (Marie) Tristán Jr., Homero Tristán y Horacio (Lorena) Tristán— con esmero, amor infinito y cuidado meticuloso. Su legado sigue vivo a través de sus queridos nietos: Gerardo, Josefina, Antonio, Vicente, Homero Jr., Máximo y Octavio.

Toña fue una mujer de profunda fuerza y fe, que siempre se esforzó por hacer lo correcto ante Dios, su esposo y su familia. La devoción a su fe la sostuvo en los momentos más difíciles de su vida. Aunque nuestros corazones sienten el peso de su partida, nos consuela saber que su amor y sus enseñanzas perdurarán para siempre a través de la familia a la que con tanto amor dio forma.

 Antonia "Toña" Tristan Sanchez passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, at the age of 87. In the spring of 1967, Toña ventured from her beautiful hometown of Armadillo de Los Infante, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to build a new life in Chicago alongside her devoted husband, Gerardo Tristan.

A proud and deeply dedicated mother, she raised her four children—Maria Concepcion (Humberto) Perez, Gerardo (Marie) Tristan Jr., Homero Tristan, and Horacio (Lorena) Tristan—with boundless love and meticulous care. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Gerardo, Josefina, Antonio, Vicente, Homero Jr., Maximo, and Octavio.

Toña was a woman of profound strength and faith, always striving to do right by God, her husband, and her family. Her devotion to her faith carried her through life’s most difficult moments. While our hearts are heavy with her loss, we take great comfort in knowing that her love and lessons will endure forever through the family she so beautifully shaped.
