Command Master Chief Joseph Anthony Medina, Jr.
August 18, 1976 – November 1, 2025
Command Master Chief Joseph Anthony “Joe” Medina, Jr., United States Navy, passed away on November 1, 2025, at the age of 49.
Born on August 18, 1976, Joe dedicated his life to service, leadership, and family. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy beginning in 1995, rising through the ranks to Command Master Chief—a testament to his unwavering commitment, strength of character, and devotion to his shipmates.
Beyond his distinguished military career, Joe was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy (Tucker), cherished daughters Anna and Emily, his mother Marcellina Medina, sister Lisa Maleck and her husband Mike, and nephews Mason and Chase. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph A. Medina.
Joe found joy and camaraderie on the open road, riding his Harley alongside fellow veterans and friends. As an active member of American Legion Post 0175 and its motorcycle club, he lived his life with the same loyalty and brotherhood he brought to his Navy family.
Joe’s legacy of service, honor, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Funeral and memorial service details will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project in Joe’s honor.
Fair winds and following seas, Master Chief.
