Peter Russo also known dearly as Pete Smith, Pete Smyth, Smitty, Geezer, Papa Smurf, Papa Bozo, Bozo’s Papa, Ancient One, Uncle Pete, Juicy P, Pope Pete, and Papacito passed away on May 7th, 2022. He was born on July 14th, 1941. He loved working on cars and fishing. He was known for being able to fix anything. He was a certified electrician. He loved to listen to “The Affects” and also Oldies but Goodies. He is preceded by his father Gaetano Russo and his mother Mary Michele Paoletti. He was the brother of MaryAnn(Michael) May, late Joseph(Ida) Russo, and Diane(Richard) Bednarz. He is survived Carmen Perez and their children Joseph Russo(Peter's grandchildren Joe and Jason) and Matthew Russo(Peter's grandchildren Jessica and Matthew Jr)and Matthew's girlfriend Jaime. He was very loved by all his cousins, nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18th from 10AM to 3PM at Sagrada Familia Funeral Home at 4950 W 79th St, Burbank IL 60459. For any questions call the funeral home at 773-565-4171.
