Willie Hart Sr Obituary

Willie Lee Hart, aged 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois. Born on May 20, 1939, in Itta Bena, Mississippi, Willie was the cherished son of Robert Hart Jr. and Susie Walls Hart. On August 4, 1960, he married Luvenia Moore, and together they built a life rooted in unconditional love and family while raising four children.

Affectionately known as "PaPa," Willie will be remembered by those who knew him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who found his greatest joy in time spent with his family. His grandchildren brought him immense happiness throughout his life and held a special place in his heart.

Willie was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Luvenia Hart; and his brothers Robert Hart, Richard Hart, James Hart, and Alan Hart. He is survived by his daughters Mary Coleman, Linda Thompson and Chatice Hart; sons Mark Hart and Willie Hart Jr.; six grandchildren—Marquis Hart, Tiana Guy, Tyana Hart, Willie Hart III, Shaunta Hart, and Elizabeth Hart—and seven great-grandchildren: Aaliyah Guy, Marquis Hart Jr., Alleah Guy, Marcellus Hart, Marshaun Hart, Phoenix Guy, and Amaria Hart. He also leaves behind siblings Willie Mae Smith, Joe Hart, Edith McFarland, and Frankie Knox; along with numerous nieces and nephews who will continue to honor his memory.

Willie's legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family and the countless memories they created together. May his memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
